Originally born and raised in Denver, Colorado, I first found Photography and Video production as a high school student. Learning from a fantastic Teacher, (Todd Adam’s) in my senior year AP photography & composition class.
Having grown up in an active family, one that valued the beauty of nature, and athletic pursuits, I have been drawn to capturing action sports such as snowboarding, climbing, and stunning natural landscapes. A dream was born to pursue artistic expression, with cameras as the tool, and light as the medium, as a career.
I moved to Bozeman Montana when I was 18 years old, with no car, a Canon T3 rebel, a used snowboard from craigslist, and a fire in my heart to be outside as much as possible and to document. For the better part of 3 years I worked odd jobs and got outside with my camera as much as possible to capture what I found beautiful. I almost soley focused on snowboarding, climbing, and multi-day trips into the mountains for the better part of 4 years. Some of this initial work would get published in Outside Bozeman Magazine and introduce me to an incredible community of driven individuals in the outdoor and photography space.
In the summer of 2019, I started working as a camera and production assistant with Anthony Cohen, for Bonafide film house. I helped Anthony and his team shoot over 40 weddings in the fall of 2018 and summer of 2019. This was the groundwork for my introduction into video work, and private production. These skills I learned have been the groundwork of my shoots today!
In the winter of 2020, I went to school at Gallatin college and earned my associate of business in marketing. With the development of a business plan and help from great professors, I left with my associates degree in the spring of 2023. About 4 months before graduating. I quit my manufacturing job at a snowboard company, and decided to devote my time to shooting concerts, events & weddings for income. In September of 2023, I started Martin Visual Productions LLC.
Since starting my professional journey in 2023. I have had the pleasure of representing and promoting local business's and products I support, Travel to remote mountain destinations, finding stories that I believe should be shared with others, and simply capturing the human experience with nature.
If I have learned anything from pursuing what I love, Its that passion should never override your empathy, and communication is KING! I look forward to hearing your project ideas, dreams, and passions!
